A Polícia Federal, em ação ostensiva na fronteira do Brasil com o Uruguai, apreendeu 250 mil reais e prendeu um homem em flagrante por evasão de divisas. A ação ocorreu na tarde desta sexta-feira (03/06), na aduana do Chuí. 

Durante as abordagens, policiais federais foi revistaram um veículo com placas uruguaias, que se deslocava em direção ao país vizinho. Na vistoria, foi encontrada uma mochila contendo 250 mil reais em espécie. 

O condutor do veículo, um cidadão argentino residente no Brasil, não havia efetuado a declaração do transporte do numerário para o exterior às autoridades competentes. 

Dessa forma, foi conduzido à Delegacia de Polícia Federal, onde foi preso em flagrante pelo crime de evasão de divisas, cuja pena pode chegar a seis anos de reclusão. O indivíduo foi recolhido ao Presídio da cidade, onde permanecerá à disposição Justiça Federal.
